  I have interacted with Dr. Bergdoll and her staff every year for the past 5 years at the Kids First Clinic. My child was born with a cleft lip and palate and has been in serious need of orthodontic repairs for the past several years. He underwent another plastic surgery (and this one was particularly difficult for him) in an attempt to alleviate some of the constriction with his upper jaw as per Dr. Bergdoll's request. She then proceeds to tell me that she cannot perform the treatment she had outlined for him due to insufficient insurance. This, coming from a doctor attending the cleft clinic that is popularly believed to be a volunteer organization where the doctors donate their time, knowledge, and resources. These people should be ashamed of themselves, turning away a child in need. I'm very disappointed and it's looking like my child will never receive the treatment he needs.
